Syed Hakeem Abbas, an entrepreneur and former Microsoft and Facebook engineer, has had an exceptional career in tech. After earning a BS in Computer Science from FAST-NU, Lahore, he secured a job offer from Microsoft in Silicon Valley while still in his final semester. At Microsoft, he spent five years developing services like the Skype mobile client and Microsoft Virtualization Services. His expertise led him to Facebook, where he played a key role in developing casting for Oculus VR, a feature widely used on Oculus Quest headsets, and contributed to Facebook Messenger, the Facebook app, and WhatsApp. Now, Hakeem leads a software services company in Lahore, helping Silicon Valley startups create innovative products.
