
DR. ARSHAD AMEER KHAN (Session 1992-2000) INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGIST
Dr. Arshad Ameer Khan is a general and interventional Cardiologist currently practicing in Australia. Arshad spent 8 memorable years at CCJ (1992-2000). After MBBS from the prestigious King Edward Medical College, Arshad competed MRCP acute medicine (UK, 2011), FRACP in Cardiology (Australia, 2017), Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (Johns Hopkins University hospital USA, 2019-only international medical graduate from Pakistan to-date) and PhD in cardiology (University of Newcastle Australia, 2025). Arshad is a keen mid-career researcher (H-index=10) with collaborations in Australia, China, UK, USA and Pakistan. During his illustrious career Dr Khan had received numerous academic scholarships, research fundings (more than $200000 to-date) and NSW health Australia research award (2016) for his work on major heart attacks in remote communities. Arshad is actively involved with community sports, social work/philanthropy, and prevention of premature coronary disease in the south Asian communities (one of the highest risk population in the world).
