COMMANDER MUHAMMAD SUMAIR IRSHAD (Session 2001-2003) TAMGHA-E-IMTIAZ (MILITARY)
Commander Muhammad Sumair Irshad, a distinguished alumnus of Chenab College Jhang topped his FSc exams in 2003 and served as Head Boy. He joined the Pakistan Navy in 2004 as a PN Cadet and was commissioned in 2006. Specializing as a Principal Warfare Officer, he has served onboard various PN Destroyers and Frigates as Operations Officer and Gunnery Officer, and as Executive Officer aboard PN Destroyer PNS SAIF. He has also held various field and staff positions. Commander Irshad is a graduate of NUST, Pakistan Navy War College, and the Joint Services Command and Staff College (UK). He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering, an M.Sc. in War Studies (Maritime) from NDU Islamabad, and an MA in Defence Studies from King’s College London. He also holds a Level-7 Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership from CMI, UK. In recognition of his services, he was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military) in 2021.
