MS. MAHA YOUSUF – Wall of Fame

MS. MAHA YOUSUF (Session 2001-2009) Ph.D. IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
Maha Yousuf made history as the first woman from Pakistan to earn a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University. She holds an M.S. from Stanford (2017) and a B.E. from NUST, Pakistan (2013). Prior to Stanford, she worked as a drilling engineer on oil rigs in Colombia’s Amazon rainforest. Maha has received numerous accolades, including the 2022 ACS CAS Future Leader award, 2020 Stanford Distinguished Student Energy Lecturer, and multiple travel grants from the ECS and AICHE. She has published seven journal articles, holds two patents, and has earned prestigious fellowships such as the Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship at Princeton (2023) and the Faculty for the Future Fellowship (2018- 2023). Additionally, she has been recognized with the Rhodes Scholarship Finalist distinction (2014), Emerging Leader Award (2013), and Global Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship (2012).
